ESAD Blog Hop

Welcome to ESAD's blog hop. The theme of this hop is Stampin' Up's new Holiday catalogue. Click here to have a look at it and if you're in Australia & would like a copy please let me know & I will pop one in the post for you.

There are 32 fantastic artists participating, show casing some amazing projects. So grab yourself a cuppa & maybe a snack, sit back and enjoy.

I am having so much fun at the moment with stamping on candles and it really isn't as difficult as it appears.

I've used the new Painted Harvest stamp set to make this candle & a matching 3x3 note card.

To make this you will need:
Painted Harvest stamp set
Heat tool
Inks I used were: Rich Razzleberry, Sweet Sugarplum, Pear Pizzazz, Sahara Sand and Crumb Cake.
Some white tissue paper
Waxed paper - which is difficult to find in Australia - Woolworths home brand grease proof paper works well.

Stamping onto the tissue paper, first stamp the larger flower with Sweet Sugarplum ink. Re ink & turn the stamp & stamp again.

Make a mask with a post it note and stamp the leaves around the edge in Pear Pizzazz ink. Remove mask and stamp the detailed flower image in Rich Razzleberry and the centre with Sahara Sand ink.

Now cut the image out - not fussy cutting, just close to the edge of the image. Lay the image onto the candle and lay a piece of grease proof paper over the top of it with the shiny side down and pull tight behind the image

Start heating with your heat tool, keep it moving all over the image, not staying in one spot as the candle will melt. You will see the image start to "go". When you can see the whole image has turned - like embossing powder does, it's done. Gently remove the grease proof paper and set candle down to cool.

While the candle is cooling, stamp the greeting onto tissue paper and trim close to the edge. It is best to wait till the candle has cooled right down, before doing the second image in the same way as the first. Whilst waiting for the candle to cool down I also  made a little 3x3 matching card.

Thanks for stopping by my blog, I hope you enjoyed my project and will give it a go. Please leave a comment so I know you have been. Have a great day.

Scrapbooking Global Annual Catalogue Blog Hop

Welcome to Scrapbooking Global's very first blog hop & my very first blog post. I am excited to be participating along with 22 other very talented artists. The theme of this hop is Stampin' Up's new Annual catalogue. So grab yourself a beverage, maybe a snack & get ready to be inspired.
I love being a part of the Scrapbooking Global facebook group - a group of like minded scrapbookers using predominately Stampin' Up products. Membership is growing every day and I am one of the Australian admins, there are other admins from all over the world. The group is for lots of sharing and there are weekly challenges, designed to expand your scrapbooking. Click here to access the group.

You may have joined me from Simone Meye wasn't her project fantastic.

Here's my layout for this hop.

My inspiration for this layout was from my beautiful niece's tshirt, with the great pops of colour, hot pink, blue & yellow, as well as the pearls she is wearing. I wanted the focus of the page to be on my niece.

I made this layout with all Stampin' Up products. Using the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set #143666 and matching framelits - Bouquet Bunch #143659

I went to town stamping lots of flowers and then die cuttting them. Then I mixed Melon Mambo & Chocolate Chip re inkers with water in two of our spritzers #126185 and sprayed the Whisper White background. I made a few puddles and let some run to make drips. Adding my double mounted photo first. Then I layered up the die cut flowers along with some leaves, and giving each flower a pearl centre. Next I added the "Billie Bow" which I just love.
Thanks for stopping by I hope you enjoyed my project.
